Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Tucson is seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Resource RN to support the General Peds, PICU, NICU and Hematology/Oncology units. The role is part of Clinical Care Operations, coordinating bed assignment, staffing, and emergency preparedness to optimize patient flow and outcomes.

The position offers 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00PM–7:30AM) with weekend rotations and additional differential incentives.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an acute care hospital setting for Banner Registry and Travel roles.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card or equivalent requirements may apply for certain Banner positions.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs across physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental and discharge planning.
• Formulate and revise the plan of care with patient/family and health team input.
• Provide and coordinate direct patient care per physician orders and nursing plan of care.
• Document care, communicate patient status to caregivers, and ensure accurate records.
• Promote evidence-based practice and participate in unit/facility quality initiatives.
