Job summary

Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando, FL is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Pediatric Critical Care team in the PICU. You will provide advanced practice care for medically complex children, collaborating with intensivists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and specialists to deliver high-quality, family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current, active Florida APRN or PA license in good standing.
• BLS and PALS certification required at hire.
• Pediatric Acute Care certification preferred; ICU/ED experience welcomed.
• New-to-practice APPs with pediatric/acute care background encouraged with onboarding support.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient and family histories and perform physical and developmental assessments.
• Develop diagnoses and participate in creating evidence-based management plans.
• Perform procedures within scope of practice and clinical training.
• Collaborate with intensivists, nurses, respiratory therapists, specialists, and care team.
• Provide education, counseling, and support to patients and families.
• Teach residents, students, and other learners in the clinical setting.
• Complete timely clinical documentation and support quality, safety, and process improvements.
