Job summary

Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, Florida seeks a per‑diem Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider to join our Pediatric Critical Care (PICU) Team. Nights and weekend coverage is required.

You will work within a collegial PICU multidisciplinary team to deliver high-level care to critically ill children. The role requires Florida APRN/PA licensure, BLS and PALS, with preferred Pediatric Acute Care certification.

Qualifications

• Current active Florida APRN or PA license in good standing.
• AHA BLS & PALS certification upon hire.
• Preferred: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner–Acute Care Certification; pediatric APP experience (ICU, Transport, Acute Care, or Emergency Medicine welcomed).
• New-to-practice APPs encouraged to apply and will be supported through onboarding, mentorship, and training.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient and family histories; perform physical and developmental assessment.
• Make diagnoses and develop a management plan; perform invasive procedures and obtain specialist consultations.
• Teach and counsel patients and families; participate in teaching residents and students; document thoroughly.
