Shriners Children's in Dayton, OH is actively seeking a full-time Pediatric Intensivist to join the Ohio team. The intensivist will manage a 7-bed unit, perform advanced life support including ventilation and ECMO, and collaborate with burn, plastic, and surgical teams to care for critically ill children.

Candidates must complete pediatric residency and pediatric critical care fellowship, be board eligible or certified, and hold eligible medical license in Ohio.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of ACGME-accredited Pediatrics residency.
• Fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic critical illnesses in pediatric patients.
• Provide advanced life support including mechanical ventilation and ECMO.
• Coordinate with subspecialists, nurses, and other health professionals for comprehensive care.
• Stabilize critically ill patients with surgical teams.
• Discuss prognosis with families in a compassionate manner.
• Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
