Job summary

Pedsccm is seeking a full-time Pediatric Intensivist at Shriners Children’s Texas in Galveston. The intensivist will provide critical care to pediatric patients, focusing on high-acuity burn cases and managing complex conditions.

This position involves a 7-on/7-off schedule with significant in-house coverage. Ideal candidates will possess a relevant medical degree and complete an ACGME accredited fellowship. The role combines patient care responsibilities with opportunities in academic teaching and research.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years of post-fellowship clinical experience in pediatric critical care medicine preferred.
• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine required.
• Eligibility for active and unrestricted medical licensure in Texas is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to critically ill pediatric patients in a 15-bed PICU.
• Perform procedural support, including sedation and central line placement.
• Participate in academic opportunities, teaching medical students and residents.
