Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• ACGME pediatric residency completed.
• Fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine completed.
• 1–3 years post-fellowship experience preferred; recent graduates considered.
• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
• Eligible for active and unrestricted medical licensure in the state.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers and PALS certifications.
• Credentialing and privileging by medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic critical illnesses in pediatric patients.
• Provide advanced life support, including mechanical ventilation and ECMO.
• Perform critical procedures such as intubation and central line placement.
• Coordinate with subspecialists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and others for comprehensive care.
• Work with surgical teams to stabilize critically ill patients.
• Discuss diagnosis, treatment plans, and prognosis with families compassionately.
• Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in pediatric critical care medicine.
• Participate in clinical research, quality improvement, and evidence-based initiatives.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and align with hospital policies.
