Job summary

TheraEd Staffing Group is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for an outpatient pediatric clinic in Lake Havasu City, AZ. You will support children under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to foster fine motor, sensory processing, and functional independence through play-based therapy.

You will collaborate with families, document progress, and contribute to a supportive clinical environment. A state license, BLS/CPR, and pediatric experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification is required.
• Minimum of 6 months of COTA experience in the last 5 years preferred.
• Experience in outpatient pediatric settings is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing occupational therapy treatment plans under supervision of an OT.
• Guide pediatric patients through activities focusing on fine motor skills, sensory integration, and daily living skills.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising OT.
• Educate parents/caregivers on home programs and carryover techniques.
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress.
• Ensure compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards.
