Speak to Me Inc. in Mooresville, NC is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing pediatric therapy team.

You will provide pediatric occupational therapy under supervision, implement individualized plans, and help children improve fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, maintain accurate documentation, communicate with families, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current North Carolina COTA license or eligibility for NC licensure.
• NBCOT certification.
• Pediatric experience preferred, but we are open to candidates who want to grow pediatric skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with supervising OTs and therapy team.
• Organized and able to complete documentation in a timely manner.
• Dependable, energetic, creative, and comfortable with children and families.
• Positive, team-oriented approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric occupational therapy treatment under supervision of a licensed OT.
• Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising OT.
• Work with children on fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, self-regulation and ADLs.
• Use play-based activities to help children reach therapy goals.
• Complete treatment documentation accurately and timely.
• Monitor progress and communicate observations and changes to the supervising OT.
• Communicate professionally with parents and caregivers.
• Provide families with carryover activities and recommendations as directed by the supervising OT.
• Collaborate with OTs, COTAs, SLPs, PTs, and staff for coordinated care.
• Maintain a safe, organized, engaging treatment environment.
• Follow practice policies, state and payer requirements.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development as needed.
