Job summary

Sound Children’s Therapy is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) for pediatric care in Issaquah, WA. The role offers full-time, part-time, or PRN options with weekend opportunities and a competitive hourly pay.

Under OT supervision, you’ll implement individualized plans, help children practice skills for independence, and collaborate with families and schools. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current COTA certification.
• Current Washington OTA license or eligibility to obtain licensure before starting practice.
• Ability to implement treatment plans effectively under OT supervision.
• Strong observation, documentation, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Pediatric experience preferred, including sensory or developmental differences.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled pediatric occupational therapy interventions per supervising OT’s plan of care.
• Create engaging activities linking therapeutic goals with meaningful participation.
• Support development of fine motor, visual motor, coordination, play, self‑care, and regulation skills.
• Deliver feeding‑related interventions when included in the plan of care and appropriate to training.
• Observe and document each child’s response to treatment.
• Communicate progress and changing needs to the supervising OT.
• Collaborate with families, therapists, educators, and other care partners.
• Maintain complete, timely treatment documentation.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming treatment environment and follow supervision requirements.
