Job summary

PEACE, Inc. is seeking a part-time Registered Dietitian to join the nutrition team and support nutrition counseling, menu planning, and education across Head Start sites in New York.

The position requires 20 to 28 hours per week and travel to various sites. The role emphasizes collaboration with the Nutrition Coordinator, development of nutritionally sound meals, and ensuring appropriate dietary accommodations for children and pregnant women.

Qualifications

• RD credential required or RD-eligibility.
• Master's degree (or master's-eligible) in Nutrition Science and Dietetics or equivalent.
• Ability to demonstrate essential practice competencies per the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Valid NYS driver license and ability to travel to various sites.

Responsibilities

• Interpret nutrition assessment data and provide nutrition counseling for families.
• Assist staff working with children with feeding problems or special nutritional needs.
• Be familiar with nutritional needs and dietary requirements of infants to pregnant women.
• Assist in developing nutrition content area plans and program policies.
