Job summary

The University of Utah Pediatric Clinic is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Ambulatory Clinical Care team. This full-time position supports patient care under clinic managers and supervisors, performing scribing and clerical tasks as needed while ensuring professional care delivery.

Qualifications include Utah CNA certification, potential RN licensure after program completion, and the RQI credential within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Current RN license eligibility within three months if RN program completed.
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant with the State of Utah, or completion of first round of clinical and current enrollment in approved nursing education program or successful completion of RN program.
• RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system; to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Act as a medical scribe to assigned providers and assist with clerical duties.
• Prepares patients for examinations and procedures per clinic procedures.
• Educates patients and families as delegated by the care provider.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies; report concerns to licensed staff.
• Assist in scheduling appointments, tests, and diagnostic procedures.
