Job summary

The University of Utah Pediatric Clinic seeks a certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the Ambulatory Clinical Care team. The role supports licensed staff, assists with procedures, and helps ensure efficient patient care across Salt Lake City outpatient sites.

This full-time position requires attendance, ability to commute between clinics, and completion of required education including CPR and infection prevention. Growth opportunities are available through a defined career ladder.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated effective communication skills with patients and families.
• Strong customer service aptitude in a busy clinic.
• Ability to maintain composure and accuracy in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care under supervision of licensed staff.
• Record patient information and support clerical tasks as directed.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist with procedures as needed.
• Attend mandatory education including infection prevention and CPR training.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate tests and procedures.
