Job summary

St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support PDHC clients with daily living activities under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities include ADLs, documentation in the eMR, and assisting with meals, safety, and care plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or CNA certification.
• 100 hours Nurses Aide Training Program completed.
• Certified Nurse Aide by NYS.
• BLS certification is required.
• One year experience in Medical Surgical / Pediatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care as directed by registered nurse.
• Report changes in client status and delivery of care to RN.
• Supervise clients during meals and inform Nursing or Nutrition Services of concerns.
• Assist with toileting and activities of daily living.
• Document ADLs in the eMR system.
• Organize and maintain program equipment and supplies.
• Assist on trips and events and accompany clients safely.
