St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children seeks a Certified Nurses Aide to provide direct and indirect patient care under supervision. You will support care plans, maintain safety, and participate in an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care for pediatric residents.

The role requires NY CNA certification, 100 hours training, and a valid BLS. One year of Medical-Surgical or Pediatric experience is preferred; opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Certified Nurse Aide by NY.
• Successful completion of 100 hours Nurses Aide Training Program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• One year experience in Medical Surgical / Pediatrics preferred.

Responsabilités

• Ensures quality and safe delivery of resident care.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and reports observations.
• Assists in direct resident care per care plan and completes daily assignments.
• Accountable for resident safety and supervising assigned residents.
• Maintains resident appearance, hygiene, and appropriate dress.
• Promotes independence in ADLs and ensures clean, organized environments.
• Assists with feeding to support nutrition and hydration.
• Documents vital signs, intake/output, heights and weights as directed.
• Reports changes to staff nurse and communicates status on shift handovers.
• Engages residents in age-appropriate socialization and activities.
