Job summary

Kidzcare in Dunn, NC is seeking a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to support pediatric providers with patient work-ups, vital signs, labs, and procedures in a compliant, patient-centered environment.

Ideal candidates hold an active CMA/RMA and CPR certification, can work independently, communicate well, and have EMR experience. Pediatric practice experience is preferred, with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active CMA/RMA credential.
• CPR certification required.
• Pediatric medical practice experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of computer applications; EMR experience preferred.
• Ability to speak, read and write effectively.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and record vital signs.
• Instruct patients about medications and special diets as directed by the provider.
• Explain treatment procedures to patients.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist during exams.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic tests.
• Maintain supplies and sterilization; manage equipment.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by the physician.
• Perform blood collection following OSHA standards.
• Complete mandatory training and perform other duties as assigned.
