Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Florida is seeking a Clinical Supervisor RN to oversee Pediatric Med-Neuro units, coordinating patient care and staffing under the Nurse Manager. The role emphasizes clinical supervision, staff development, and adherence to standards of care across shifts.

The ideal candidate will have a BSN, an active RN license, at least two years of Pediatric experience, and professional certification within a year. AHA BLS/PALS within 30 days is required.

Qualifications

• Active Florida or multi-state RN license required.
• BSN degree required.
• Minimum two years Pediatric experience.
• Professional certification required within one year of hire.
• American Heart Association BLS, PALs required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides and supervises direct patient care including patient assignment.
• Serves in the role of unit charge nurse.
• Reviews major operational patient care issues with Nurse Manager regularly.
• Provides ongoing clinical evaluation of nurses and other care staff.
• Collaborates with Nursing Supervisor on unit and hospital issues.
• Assists in orienting new personnel and continuing education programs.
• Supports quality improvement projects, outcomes studies and research initiatives.
