Job summary

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree or BS Pharmacy Degree.
• Licensed Pharmacist or eligible to practice in North Carolina.
• PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy residency or PGY1 Pharmacy Residency with pediatric focus plus clinical experience preferred.
• With Doctor of Pharmacy degree, no experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor patient?s medication therapy for safety and efficacy, advising the care team of issues and improvements.
• Prepare, label and dispense medications per physician prescriptions; ensure compliance with laws and records for dispensing drugs and narcotics.
• Maintain dispensing records and oversee systems that charge or credit medications and treatments.
• Provide drug information and educate caregivers, patients and students on medications and proper use.
• Oversee the medication process and present reports/recommendations on system issues.
• Support investigational medications with documentation and labeling as required.
