Job summary

Chamberlain University is seeking a Visiting Professor to instruct nursing students at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus. The role includes supervising clinical experiences, evaluating student performance, and aligning assignments with course objectives.

The position requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, an Ohio RN license, and pediatrics experience. Teaching or precepting is preferred, with a strong emphasis on professionalism and student success.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in Ohio.
• Availability for 6:30am-4:30pm shifts at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
• At least two years of pediatric nursing experience in the last five years.
• Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required.
• Have a passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.
• Plans clinical experiences for and provides direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students.
• Keeps course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues and concerns.
• Develops and posts written clinical assignments aligned with students' knowledge and skill level.
