Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider in the CICU to join the pediatric cardiac team. The role focuses on inpatient management of critically ill cardiac patients, performing examinations, ordering tests, and coordinating care with physicians.

The APRN will educate families and participate in discharge planning to ensure optimal outcomes. The position requires a Florida APRN license, PACNP certification, and active BLS/PALS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• Master's in Nursing or DNP from an accredited program.
• Active Florida APRN license in good standing.
• PNCB Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification.
• AHA BLS, PALS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical rounds and document plans of care to guide the care team.
• Oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges with comprehensive pediatric cardiac care.
• Order, interpret, and monitor diagnostic tests and medications per protocol.
• Provide education to families and coordinate discharge planning and follow‑up.
