Job summary

Seattle Children's in Seattle, WA is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse to lead unit nursing care across shifts. You will apply the nursing process to plan, coordinate, and deliver safe, timely care for all patients on the unit, guiding staff and collaborating with families.

The role requires WA RN license, BLS, 1 year of nursing experience, BSN preferred, and PALS/PEARS training for many units. CPI and pediatric care initiatives are emphasized within our academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Minimum one year nursing experience required.
• WA RN license; BLS required; PEARS/PALS accepted in lieu of BLS; ACLS not accepted.
• Charge nurses must obtain PALS within 6 months for certain units; ACLS not accepted as substitute.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and deliver safe patient and family care on the unit during each shift.
• Coordinate patient care and oversee nursing staff across the unit.
• Support hospital CPI and strategic initiatives in daily work.
