Job summary

Children’s Nebraska is seeking a Chaplain to provide spiritual and emotional care to patients, families, and team members within a pediatric hospital setting. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, facilitate religious rituals, and respond to crises with sensitivity and professional judgment.

The role requires ongoing education and board certification considerations, with on-call responsibilities and commitment to the hospital’s mission of excellence and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in religion, theology, ministry or pastoral care required
• Master's degree in religion, theology, ministry or pastoral care required for most roles (exceptions for <0.5 FTE)

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families and staff.
• Facilitate religious rituals and liaise with community clergy as needed.
• Participate in 24-hour on-call coverage and crisis response.
• Maintain professional development and participate in team meetings within Pastoral and Spiritual Care.
