Job summary

Gillette Children’s casting position is based in St. Paul, MN, with time split between Burnsville and the main campus.

The role requires applying all types and complexities of casts, under supervision, in the OR, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and quality care. The on-site role offers an hourly wage range of $25.31–$37.97, with a median around $31.64, plus a benefits package including retirement match, tuition/certification reimbursement, PTO, and wellness

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with patients in a clinic or hospital setting, or completion of a medical-related degree.
• Current CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association) or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Travel to offsite clinics.

Responsibilities

• Provide casting services in operating room per procedures.
• Work with casting team to deliver quality patient care.
• Evaluate prescriptions and communicate with providers.
• Apply all types and complexities of casting and splinting as assigned.
• Document promptly with assessments, cast application/removal, and follow-up plans.
