Job summary

PCH Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist with admission, transfer, discharge processes, monitor vital signs, assist with personal hygiene, and support basic comfort measures.

The role requires a High School diploma, BLS certification within 30 days, and prior patient care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports patient condition changes to a nurse immediately.
• Assists RN with admission, transfer, discharge and general patient care duties.
• Records vitals and assists with hygiene and comfort measures.
• Records intake/output and monitors basic parameters.
• Assists in specimen collection and related tasks.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment to prevent infections.
• Reports equipment issues to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Prepares patients for exams and procedures.
• Communicates nutrition and diet changes to RN.
• Supports department operations and answers patient call bells.
