Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Orlando, Florida is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Tech (CNA) for the Hem/Onc Unit. 7A-7P and 7P-7A shifts available.

As a CNA, you will support patients with daily living activities, assist with admissions, perform vital signs, document in EMR, and collaborate with RNs to deliver family-centered care.

Minimum requirements include high school diploma/GED, Florida CNA license, BLS, and at least one year of patient care experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license by the State of Florida.
• Minimum of one year of patient care experience preferred.
• American Heart BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide other patient care as directed.
• Prepare rooms for patient admissions assuring that the room is clean and proper equipment is set up for patient's needs.
• Record intake and output of patients as directed by RN.
• Utilize the electronic medical record as required to document the patient care provided.
• Transport patients to other unit locations and escorts discharged patients to car.
