Job summary

Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando, FL is seeking a Patient Care Technician (Hem/Onc Unit) to join our team. You will assist patients with activities of daily living, prepare rooms for admissions, monitor vital signs, and help maintain a clean, safe environment for our pediatric patients.

Shifts available: DAYS 7A-7P and NIGHTS 7P-7A. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, Florida CNA license, and BLS within 30 days of hire; one year of patient care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Florida CNA license required.
• Minimum of one year of patient care experience preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bath, feed, etc.) and provide other patient care as directed.
• Prepare rooms for patient admissions and ensure proper equipment is set up for patient needs.
• Record vital signs and report abnormalities to assigned RN.
• Document care in the EMR and communicate with RN and other staff.
• Transport patients to other locations and assist with discharges as needed.
• Support family centered care and maintain a safe patient care environment.
