Job summary

Ascension is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join the Dell Children's Medical Center team in Austin, TX. This role supports Pediatric Outpatient Cardiac Services with a rotating full-time schedule and hands-on patient care.

You will implement care plans, monitor progress, and coordinate with doctors, specialists, and families to ensure seamless, high-quality care. You’ll help prepare patients for safe discharge and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing is required prior to hire.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on patient care and execute medical orders following established safety protocols.
• Implement care plans, monitor patient progress, and communicate status changes promptly.
• Connect doctors, specialists, and families to ensure seamless, well-managed care.
• Partner with the healthcare team to prepare patients for a safe transition home.
