About the Pediatric Cardiology - Advanced Cardiac Imaging Position

The Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin and Dell Children’s Medical Center (DCMC) are seeking a full-time pediatric cardiologist with additional fellowship training in advanced cardiac imaging to join our rapidly growing team within the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease (TCPCHD).

The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care, leadership, and innovation, working alongside our team of cardiologists and advanced practice providers. While patient care is our primary focus, we also support education and research, with access to dedicated professionals including a statistician, research manager, and research coordinators. Our practice is located in central Austin, offering inpatient and outpatient support for all of central Texas and beyond.

This position involves responsibilities in patient care, program development and growth, team building, safety, quality, and access to imaging services. The candidate will collaborate closely with the Chief of Pediatric Cardiology and the TCPCHD leadership to achieve personal and programmatic goals centered on delivering extraordinary care. Routine duties include outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, supervision of advanced practice providers, and hospital services.

Required Qualifications:

• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology and the ability to obtain an unrestricted Texas Medical License.
• Advanced fellowship training in Cardiac MRI, Cardiac CT, and related imaging modalities.
• Experience at high-volume centers and demonstrated expertise in advanced imaging are preferred.
• Previous experience or education in medical administration and clinical research is a plus.
• Eligibility for faculty appointment at The University of Texas at Austin.
