Qualifications

• Vocational or Technical School Diploma, required.
• RDMS, RDCS, RCS, ACS, RVT, RVS, RT(S)(ARRT), or RT(VS)(ARRT) credentials required.
• 1–3 years of technical ultrasound experience, required.
• Varied shifts and locations: Bay Shore, Riverhead, Smithtown, and Woodbury.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for ultrasound exam and positions patient on examination table.
• Obtains pertinent imaging and diagnostic reports for correlation with ultrasound.
• Consults with referring physician to determine appropriate ultrasound exam.
• Sets up equipment and selects machine settings for accurate results.
• Performs ultrasound procedures and differentiates artifacts from normal/pathologic findings.
• Determines need for more extensive evaluations beyond preliminary instructions.
• Observes patient during examination and reports any changes or concerns.
• Documents image details and logs exams performed.
• Performs calibration checks and troubleshoots equipment issues.
• Performs related duties as required under ADA compliance.
