Job summary

Advocate Christ Medical Center seeks a skilled Echocardiography specialist to perform pediatric and fetal echocardiograms in inpatient and outpatient settings, including transesophageal studies. The role covers maintaining image quality, interpreting findings, and communicating results to care teams and families.

Candidates should have advanced sonography training, 3+ years in echocardiography (pediatric or fetal preferred), and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Sonography.
• Three years of progressively responsible experience in a lab performing echocardiography imaging. Pediatric or fetal echocardiography experience.
• RDCS_PE or RCCS or RDCS_FE/RDMS_FE certification required, BLS/CPR.
• Ability to perform pediatric or fetal echocardiograms and transesophageal exams.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric or fetal echocardiograms in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform transesophageal echo and complex exams in multiple clinical environments.
• Communicate findings to physicians and families, and document imaging and billing.
• Maintain equipment and supply readiness; ensure accurate report generation.
