Indiana University Health in South Bend is seeking a full-time Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer to join Riley Children's Health Medical Office. The role offers a day shift (8:00 AM–4:30 PM) with no weekends or on-call coverage, and welcomes recent graduates with pediatric echocardiography experience.

Responsibilities include performing and monitoring cardio-diagnostic tests focused on cardiac sonography and Doppler studies, preparing images, and provide preliminary findings to the physician.

Qualificações

• BLS certification required.
• May also require Advanced Life Support certification, if applicable.
• Applicant must be eligible to sit for registry at hire and must pass within one year for ARDMS: RDCS or CCI: RCS/ ACS/ RCCS.
• May require registry/certification for another modality, if applicable.
• ISDH license may be required.
• Pass written exam for Basic EKG interpretation with score >85% initially and repeat yearly.
• Minimum of one year of experience in Echocardiography, preferred.

Indiana University Health is seeking a full-time Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Riley Children's Health Medical Office in South Bend. This position offers a desirable day-shift schedule (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) with no weekend or on-call coverage required. Job Description

Performs, administers & monitors Cardio-Diagnostic tests with primary emphasis on cardiac sonography and doppler studies. Administers all Cardio-Diagnostic tests. Provides physician with preliminary findings of recorded data through monitoring and performing the necessary calculations, in a timely fashion while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Treats patients with care and respect.

Basic Life Support certification required. May also require Advanced Life Support certification, if applicable.

Applicant must be eligible to sit for their registry at the time of hire and must successfully pass it within one year from start date through one of the following: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS): Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, RDCS; or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI): Registered Cardiac Sonographer, RCS, Advanced Cardiac Sonographer, ACS, or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer, RCCS.

May be required to meet registry/certification requirements for another modality, if applicable.

May require license from Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH), if applicable.

Pass written exam for Basic EKG interpretation with score >85% initially and repeat yearly.

Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.

Minimum of one year of experience in Echocardiography, preferred.
