UW Health’s pediatric cardiac sonography team at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, WI, seeks a Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer to join a leading echo lab. You'll scan tiny hearts with cutting-edge ultrasound equipment, covering fetal to adult patients across clinics, OR, cath lab, and ED.

The role offers 90% FTE (36 hours/week), day shifts Mon–Fri with rotating call, and a sign-on incentive plus pay differentials. UW Health emphasizes professional growth and outstanding patient care.

Qualifications

Completion of a CHAAHEP approved ultrasound program.
Associate Degree in Biological Sciences, Radiology, Ultrasound, or relevant health sciences field.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Ultrasound, Radiology, Biological Sciences, or relevant health sciences field.

Job description

Work Schedule

90% FTE, 36 hours per week, day shift, Monday - Friday between 7:00AM - 5:00PM, 8- or 10-hour shifts, with rotating evening/weekend call responsibility and 1-hour response time. You will work at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay

This position may be eligible for a $9,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE)

Additional components of compensation may include:
- Evening and night shift differential
- Weekend differential
- On-call pay

Relocation assistance may be available for qualified applicant

Qualifications

Required: Completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CHAAHEP) approved ultrasound program, Associate Degree in Biological Sciences, Radiology, Ultrasound, or relevant health sciences field

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Ultrasound, Radiology, Biological Sciences, or relevant health sciences field

Work Experience

Preferred: Pediatric echocardiography experience

Preferred: 2 years of progressively responsible experience in a lab performing echocardiography testing

Licenses & Certifications

Required: Registered in Adult Echocardiography (AE) Upon Hire

Required: Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire

Preferred: Pediatric Echocardiography (PE)

Preferred: Fetal Echocardiography (FE)
