Job summary

Akron Children's in Ohio is seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine physician to join a dedicated PICU team. You’ll care for critically ill children alongside 13 pediatric intensivists and 16 advanced practice providers in a 45-bed PICU with a dedicated cardiac unit.

Requirements include MD or DO, board eligibility/board certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, fellowship in cardiac intensive care, and the ability to obtain an Ohio medical license.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board eligibility/board certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
• Additional fellowship training in cardiac intensive care medicine.
• Ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric critical care in the PICU as part of a large regional team.
• Care for cardiothoracic surgery and ECMO patients within the PICU.

The Hospital is a level 1 trauma center, and the intensivists serve as the medical control physician for a large regional transport service.
