Job summary

Akron Children's in Ohio is seeking a pediatric intensivist to provide expert critical care in the PICU and cardiac ICU. You’ll join a well-established team of specialists and APPs to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Requirements include an MD/DO degree, board eligibility/certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, and an Ohio license. Fellowship in cardiac ICU is highly valued with pathways to leadership and research opportunities.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• Board eligibility or board certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine required.
• Fellowship in cardiac intensive care medicine preferred; ability to obtain Ohio medical license.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric critical care in the PICU and cardiac ICU settings.
• Collaborate with an integrated team of physicians, nurses and APPs to deliver high-quality care.
• Participate in research activities and opportunities for leadership within pediatric health care.

The Hospital is a level 1 trauma center, and the intensivists serve as the medical control physician for a large regional transport service.

Requirements include MD or DO degree, board eligibility/board certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, additional fellowship training in cardiac intensive care medicine and the ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Ohio.
