Job summary

Akron Children's in Akron, Ohio, invites physicians to join a well-established team of pediatric intensivists and advanced practice providers in a state-of-the-art PICU. The role emphasizes collaborative, child-centered care within a large regional pediatric health system and opportunities for leadership and research.

Candidates will bring MD/DO with pediatric critical care credentials, fellowship in cardiac ICU, and the ability to obtain Ohio licensure.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required; board-eligible or board-certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
• Fellowship training in cardiac intensive care medicine.
• Ability to obtain an Ohio medical license.

Responsibilities

• Provide care within the hospital's PICU with a multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and staff to deliver high-quality pediatric critical care.
• Contribute to clinical research and initiatives within a well-established pediatric health system.

The Hospital is a level 1 trauma center, and the intensivists serve as the medical control physician for a large regional transport service.

Requirements include MD or DO degree, board eligibility/board certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, additional fellowship training in cardiac intensive care medicine and the ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Ohio.
