Job summary

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME is seeking a full-time pediatric echocardiography sonographer. The role involves performing echocardiographic studies across congenital, pediatric, and adult cases with minimal supervision and continuous quality improvement.

The candidate must hold ARDMS pediatric echocardiography credentials and an adult echocardiography registry, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates clinical judgment to recognize and triage emergent situations.
• Works as a team member to support department goals and patient care.
• Extensive knowledge of pediatric and congenital echocardiography.
• Proficient in acquiring and interpreting echocardiographic data.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiographic studies in congenital, pediatric and adult cases with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates ability to evaluate abnormal findings and integrate image and Doppler data.
• Operates ultrasound equipment and ensures quality imaging.
• Coordinates scheduling and communicates with cardiologists and staff.
