Job summary

Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital is seeking a TH CTS Cardiology Associate to perform and assist in pediatric and fetal echocardiography. You will obtain images, document data, and support a team of clinicians across inpatient and outpatient settings.

The candidate should have graduate ultrasound training, at least one year of cardiac ultrasound experience, and registry eligibility, with preferred pediatric/fetal echocardiography credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound program.
• One year experience in cardiac ultrasound.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or registry eligible.
• Preferred: pediatric and fetal echocardiography experience.
• Preferred: obstetric ultrasound experience; deformation imaging.

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist in echocardiographic procedures for fetuses, infants, children and adults.
• Acquire images using 2D, color flow, Doppler and m‑mode techniques per protocols.
• Enter charges and patient data into system and reports.
• Act as a clinical resource and preceptor for staff and students.
• Provide coverage to satellite clinic locations.
