Job summary

Ascension St Vincent in Portland, OR seeks a Pediatric Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist (Relief) to support Doernbecher Operating Room. The role involves assisting physicians in the Cardiac Cath Lab, EP, Hybrid OR, plus fluoroscopy and IV contrast procedures. Monday–Friday with call requirements; 7:00am–5:30pm.

Posting salary ranges from $54.29 to $74.54 per hour, with offers based on experience and internal equity. Requires ARRT, Oregon license, and BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience operating radiologic equipment or an equivalent combination of specialized training and experience.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• A valid Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist license issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire or prior to independent practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician during cases while operating radiologic imaging equipment including fluoroscopy and ultrasonography in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Prepare patient and supplies under sterile conditions; scrub in with physician and assist in procedures.
• Accurately obtain x-rays for exams with attention to patient safety.
• Operate automatic injectors and select appropriate contrast agent under physician guidance.
• Collaborate with staff to provide patient care and manage equipment maintenance and malfunctions.
• Work independently on-call with department physicians and nurses.
