Ascension is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, TX. The role focuses on delivering compassionate, evidence-based care within the Pediatric Outpatient Cardiac Services department.

You will follow physician orders, monitor patient progress, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care delivery. The position requires a Texas RN license and a nursing diploma, with a BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire; valid from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Registered Nurse credential issued by the Texas Board of Nursing prior to hire.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent professional licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on patient care following physician orders and hospital safety protocols.
• Monitor patients, update care plans, and communicate changes to the care team.
• Coordinate with doctors, therapists, and specialists to ensure seamless, efficient care.
• Assist with safe discharge planning and post-discharge follow-up as needed.
