Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Research Assistant to lead participant recruitment, consent, enrollment, and virtual interviews for a national cohort study.

You will coordiant e HIV/STI testing per protocol and maintain study records in REDCap. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with preference for a bachelor’s degree in research, strong organizational and communication skills, and experience with diverse populations in virtual settings.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with network-based research methods and HIV/STI testing preferred.
• Familiarity with REDCap or similar data management systems preferred.
• Ability to engage diverse participant populations in a virtual setting.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs administrative tasks to support research team (scheduling, ordering, printing, filing, etc.).
• Assists with literature searches, QA/QC procedures, and tracks timelines.
• Assists with study start-up and maintains study and regulatory documents.
• Assists in scheduling study visits, delivering behavioral interventions, and reimbursement of participants, in coordination with the PI and study team.
• Prepares necessary supplies for study visits (consent forms, data collection materials, etc.)
• Assists in the collection of data from research participants and/or medical records, as authorized.
• Supports data entry and maintains/updates databases as needed.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and facilitates ordering as required.
• Engages in professional development opportunities, such as clinical and research meetings, seminars, and related activities.
• Other job functions as assigned.
