Job summary

Children’s Crisis Treatment Center (CCTC) is seeking a Behavioral Health Worker to support treatment plans for young children and their families in a fast-paced, trauma-informed setting.

The role involves implementing curricula in the Therapeutic Nursery, collaborating with clinicians, drafting weekly activity plans, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment. Requires a bachelor’s degree in a behavioral/mental health field and direct care experience with children/adolescents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an area of behavioral/mental health services or related field.
• Minimum of one-year direct care experience with children/adolescents.
• OR Bachelor’s degree plus one year verified full-time paid experience working in direct care with children/adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Implement established curriculum and treatment plans within the structured milieu of the Therapeutic Nursery.
• Collaborate with clinicians and psychiatrist regarding implementation of treatment plans for individual children based on their biopsychosocial evaluations and treatment review meetings.
• Assist in developing developmentally based activity plans for assigned group and complete written plans weekly.
• Collaborate in implementing treatment plans and curriculum during regular program planning meetings with fellow Behavioral Health Worker.
• Attend weekly meetings with the treatment team to review progress of individual children.
• Participate in treatment planning meetings, discharge planning, and other interagency meetings as needed.
• Write daily progress notes; complete CBCLs on each child as scheduled.
• Assist in supervising undergraduate interns and volunteers; assess TSS Trainees.
• Maintain group room and play areas to provide a safe, ordered and therapeutic environment.
• Attend in-service and training meetings; assume other duties assigned by Supervisor.
