Children’s Crisis Treatment Center in Philadelphia seeks a Behavioral Health Worker to support treatment teams and deliver one-to-one or small group interventions for children ages 5-13 and their families, in a trauma-informed setting.

The role involves crisis intervention, data collection, attendance at trainings and meetings, and collaboration with schools, families, and care teams to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an area of behavioral/mental health services or related field.
• Minimum Of One Year Direct Care Experience With Children/adolescents.
• Or Bachelor’s degree PLUS one (1) year verified full-time paid experience working in direct care with children/adolescents.
• Or Associates degree or sixty (60) credits towards a bachelor’s degree, PLUS three (2) years verified full-time paid work experience working in direct care with children/adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one or small group interventions to a child at school
• Provide crisis intervention techniques, immediate behavioral reinforcements, emotional support, and time structuring activities when needed
• Attend all required trainings
• Attend mandatory supervision sessions
• Attend daily case review and weekly case conference
• Transport clients, as needed
• Conduct classroom observations, as needed
• Collect observational data, as needed
• Participate in home visits, as needed
• Attend clinical meetings, IEP, and any other relevant meetings pertaining to client care

Education

Bachelor’s degree in behavioral/mental health services or related field

Associate degree or 60 credits toward a bachelor’s degree
