Job summary

OU Health is opening a new Pediatric Behavioral Health Center scheduled to begin after September 1, 2026. The Behavioral Health Technician roles (Levels I-III) support patient care under supervision, focusing on safety and daily living activities in a pediatric setting.

Candidates must be 21+, with two professional references, and start after December 2026. Responsibilities include patient transport, treatment plan input, monitoring, and emergency response.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting required.
• BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certificate within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Accompanies and transports patients.
• Assists in identifying patients’ problems, needs, and strengths.
• Assists in providing treatment plan based on observations and input into discharge planning.
• Restocks rooms with supplies and equipment as directed.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living including hygiene needs.
