OU Health’s new Pediatric Behavioral Health Center seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to support patient care on the night shift. This role provides direct patient assistance under supervision and participates in treatment planning, safety monitoring and transitions of care.

The position requires BLS and crisis intervention training, and candidates may start after September 1, 2026, with the new center scheduled to open in December 2026; 21+ years of age and references are required.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-3 years of healthcare experience for Level I.
• BLS and NCI certifications within 30 days of hire.
• Associate's degree required for Level III.
• Behavioral Health Technician certification or related credential preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Accompanies and transports patients.
• Assist in identifying patient problems, needs and strengths.
• Assist in implementing treatment plans and discharge planning.
• Monitor safety and environmental conditions, document changes.
• Perform blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and weight checks.
• Support admission, discharge and transfer processes.
• Respond to emergency situations and maintain a safe milieu.
• Restock rooms and assist with activities of daily living.
