Job summary

Gould Medical Group in Modesto, CA seeks a licensed clinician to join the Behavioral Health/Pediatrics team providing mental health assessments and brief interventions for children and adolescents.

The role integrates with Pediatrics, performing short-term psychotherapy (15-30 min) using CBT, PST, MI, and aims for culturally responsive care within a high-volume PCBH model, with flexible hours and some telework onsite.

Responsibilities

• Integrated with the Pediatrics department to see patients for health assessments, education, and therapeutic interventions.
• Primarily short-term individual psychotherapy (15–30 minute visits) in a high-volume PCBH model.
• Utilize evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Problem-Solving Therapy (PST), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• Deliver culturally responsive care, respecting diverse backgrounds of patients.
• Provide real-time curbside consultation and warm hand-offs from primary care providers to the medical team.
• Triages and manages a broad range of presenting concerns (depression, anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain, etc.).
• Document concisely in the shared medical record (SOAP) in a way that is useful to medical providers.
• Support population health and preventive care efforts, including behavioral health screenings (PHQ-9, GAD-7).
• Flexible/fadeable schedule with some telework onsite and evening hours.
