Job summary

Children's Nebraska is seeking a pediatric audiologist to deliver comprehensive diagnostic, rehabilitative and consultative services for infants to adolescents in a hospital setting.

You will work within a team to emphasize early identification of hearing loss, family-centered care, and interdisciplinary collaboration, with opportunities for program development and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Audiology is required.
• Experience with pediatric patients or pediatric clinical internship is preferred.
• Audiology externship completion is required.
• Nebraska State license required and CCC-A within 1 year required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pediatric hearing assessments including ABR, OAE, VRA, CPA, tympanometry, and acoustic reflex testing for infants to age 21.
• Supports newborn hearing screening and follow-up testing; reports to state EHDI systems.
• Fits and verifies pediatric hearing aids using real ear and speech mapping; supports FM/DM systems and other pediatric devices.
• Participates in candidacy evaluations and long-term follow-up for cochlear implant patients where applicable.
• Provides bedside assessments for medically complex children in NICU/PICU/CCU and Med-Surg settings.
• Collaborates with ENT, SLP, neurology, neonatology, hospitalists, and other specialists; facilitates referrals.
• Delivers family-centered education and documentation, billing and reporting; follows infection control and safety standards.
• Contributes to program development, quality improvement and expansion of pediatric audiology services.
