Job summary

Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford seeks an Athletic Trainer to support the Orthopedic Sports Med Program. You will work with physicians, clinicians and community partners to provide on-site care, injury prevention, and education for athletes.

You will assist in both in-office clinic work and outreach, involving patient intake, vital signs, post-operative education, and coordinated care for high school athletes and Young Athletes Academy partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a work-related field from an accredited college or university.
• BOC Certification as Athletic Trainer and current BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and staff.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and medical records management.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with care and interface between our partners and the Orthopedic Sports Med team.
• Provide on-site sports medicine care, injury prevention, and athlete education.
• Prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, and document patient information.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and assist with examinations and post-operative care.
• Maintain treatment logs and coordinate care for patients and athletes.
