Job summary

North American Partners in Anesthesia is seeking a Pediatric Fellowship Trained or Pediatric Board Certified Anesthesiologist for Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital, a community-based nonprofit serving central Virginia.

The practice covers two hospitals with 25 physicians and 70+ CRNAs, performing over 44,000 cases annually. The role provides comprehensive anesthesia care, including pre-anesthesia evaluations, planning, induction, maintenance, and emergence, with ongoing patient monitoring and

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Fellowship trained in Pediatric Anesthesiology or Pediatric Board Certified.
• ECFMG and FLEX certifications.
• Completion of an approved residency in anesthesia.
• Current physician license.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care for pediatric and general surgical procedures.
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent.
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients and families.
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitor physiologic status and intervene as needed; support departmental leadership.
