Stanford Children’s Health | Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford seeks an Anesthesia Technician to support the Department of Anesthesia with equipment, supplies, and indirect patient care to ensure safe, cost-effective delivery of anesthesia services.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience, with BLS or equivalent certification. The position is part-time in Palo Alto with rotating 12-hour shifts and a 24-hour weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• One year of directly related work experience.
• RQI Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support or Basic Life Support by American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Support anesthesia department with equipment and supplies.
• Prepare and maintain monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems.
• Assist with equipment setup, cleaning, sterilizing, and maintenance.
• Assist with intra-operative fluid management and patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement and cost containment efforts.
• Maintain relationships with staff, physicians, patients and families.
