Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY, seeks a Per Diem Anesthesia Technician for the NYP/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, Days shift. Provide approved assistance to Anesthesiologists/CRNAs during induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia in a pediatric setting.

You will set up sterile equipment, help with regional anesthesia and invasive monitors, maintain equipment, adhere to infection control, and ensure clean work areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of anesthesia tech experience.
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides approved assistance to Anesthesiologists/CRNAs during induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia.
• Assists with placement of regional anesthetics and invasive monitoring devices.
• Maintains equipment and supplies necessary for pediatric anesthesia care.
• Implements infection control and safety practices for equipment handling, cleaning and sterilization.
• Sets up sterile equipment and monitors, ensuring sterility and cleanliness of work areas.
