Job summary

Carle Health seeks an Ambulatory Nurse with prior RN clinic experience in Family medicine or Pediatrics in Illinois. Training will occur in Urbana before transitioning to Bloomington full-time, aligning with our care standards.

The role involves assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care, providing patient education, and supporting a multidisciplinary team within the Illinois Board of Nursing guidelines and Carle Health policies.

Qualifications

• Must have prior RN clinic experience ideally in Family medicine or Pediatrics.
• Training requirements in Urbana before transitioning to Bloomington full time.

Responsibilities

• Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families in area of practice.
• Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.
• Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate.
• Provides health and wellness education to individuals and groups.
• Acts as preceptor and supports the development of other staff and healthcare students.
• Provides leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes.
• Assists Nursing Supervisor/coordinator in the development of departmental standing orders.
• Performs phone triage of patients in multiple specialties
• Administers medications and treatments
• Directs and supervises care delivered by other healthcare personnel
• Provides patient education
• Conducts research to improve practice and patient outcomes

Education

Associate's Degree in Nursing

RN license (IDFPR)

BLS Certification (AHA)
